Dream Big Then Dream Bigger

I have been challenged by my Mentor and his beautiful wife to Dream Bigger! I have struggled with this challenge for a few months. As the deadline draws near (I am down to less than 5 days before the end of the challenge!) I have spent hours looking at a blank screen with writer’s block. I asked myself why this challenge was so difficult for me.

As I try to dig deep and do some soul-searching, I have realized that I am a product of my environment and upbringing.

From the Country

My parents are hardworking people. They will be married 54 years as of the 25th of January, 2023! These days this is Amazing! Mom has been employed at the same financial institution for 46 years. Even though the first 11 years of her employment were under a different institutional name from what it is today.

Dad had several jobs over the years. He ran a roustabout company doing oilfield work, that he and his dad owned for several years. When they sold the business Daddy went to work for the man. He worked many different jobs over the years. From driving trucks to working at the local elevator loading and unloading train cars.

Granny worked at the hospital for as long as I could remember. She encouraged all of her granddaughters and I think even her great-granddaughters to go into the medical field. I think Mom has always hoped my sister, me, and even her granddaughters would find our place in some office job that we would be at long-term. Daddy seemed to roll with the punches and would offer words of wisdom where he saw fit and help out if he could.

Work For The Man

I had a great childhood. My sister and I had everything we needed. Our parents have always supported us in the decisions we have made. Whether they were good or bad choices they have always had our backs! I thank God for them every day. Even today we are encouraged to “work for the man” at a J.O.B.

So, what does this mean? I was raised to “work for the man” and trade time for money. In today’s society that is living paycheck to paycheck, and if you are lucky you can save a little for a rainy day. This would be considered a “broke mindset”. But unfortunately, for most of us, it requires parents to work outside of the home and some have to work more than one J.O.B. Just to have the false sense of security that they are doing “ok”. But that leaves others raising our children or our children raising themselves and their siblings. And we wonder what has happened to today’s generation. I am tired of “working for the man”!

Dream Big

So, here we are. Time for me to reveal my Dreams. When I found this opportunity to have a Performance Blogging System aka PBS. When I joined this family and started training to be a work-from-home online marketer. I just wanted to be able to at the very least earn enough money to pay my way. As I am an Au pair for my best friend and his son. We have been living in a camper so my dreams have shifted a little.

My credit tanked after I lost my semi at the beginning of COVID-19. I also had shoulder surgery during that time and my health has suffered. I used to see a chiropractor twice a month while I was driving. But feelings of guilt asking for the money to continue those visits have kept me from going. I know how hard my friend works just to keep the three of us fed and a roof over our heads. Now I experience so much pain in my lower back, hips, and knees that I can’t walk any great distances. This has taken a huge toll on my mental health if I am perfectly honest.

He has been helping me with the funding for My PBS and the limited overhead that it does come with without complaint. But he also knows that every business whether working from home online or a more traditional J.O.B. Costs money to make money! Have you ever figured out what it costs you to work a traditional J.O.B.?

Therefore, my first set of goals will include making enough to support Tami’s Terrific Treasures and myself. To have the ability to see a chiropractor on a regular to get myself cracked back into place. Along with Biohacking for Weight Loss and Improving Brain Health with a SNAP! I also want to physically and financially contribute to moving into a house with a solid foundation and a fenced-in yard. Upon getting a house, I want to be able to help with the bills and improve both our credit scores.

Ultimately, I want to purchase a place that has enough land and hopefully includes a spring-fed pond. The main house will have a minimum of three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a laundry area, a mudroom, and three car attached garage. I would like the kitchen to be large with double ovens, a stove with six burners, a griddle, an oven, and a warming compartment. Oversized refrigerator, hidden large butler’s pantry with garage access, coffee bar, dishwasher, and large island with secondary prep sink, under counter pebble ice maker, lots of overall storage, and outlets galore. I adore kitchen gadgets!

I would love this kitchen to be open to the main living area and have plenty of space for dining. That opens onto an outdoor kitchen/covered patio area with great country views. While we both love to cook I want this to be the home’s heartbeat. A place to gather and entertain be it with family or friends.

Additional Areas

It needs to have a fully finished basement. That has a small wine cellar and what I playfully call a snack kitchen. Plenty of space to turn it into a teenage boy’s dream. Complete with a pool table, tv/gaming area, bathroom, and plenty of room for the gang to hang out and stay over.

A very large climate-controlled shop/garage/man cave for big boy (and girl) toy storage and mechanic shop plus a few hidden gems. And of course, this space will need at least some bathroom amenities.

Overall Dream Bigger

The final dream for this property is to have six to ten cabins that can accommodate at least six people each scattered just inside a treeline surrounding the pond. Maybe even a small “event venue”. In my opinion, it makes me feel like people will see us as very materialistic. However, the biggest reason for everything outside the main house and “man cave” is far from selfish.

When my grandparents were alive, I remember growing up and most of the family coming together at least once a year. But as the years have passed I have cousins I haven’t seen in more years than I care to admit. While this is the case, what hurts my heart is that they now have kids, who have kids, who quit possibly are even now having kids. My children and grandchildren have no idea what it is like to have a large family reunion. Or what it is like to have cousins that are like your best friend. As I have thought long and hard about my biggest dream, I have realized that family is important to me.

I want to use this additional space to provide a place for the family to come together and not have to worry about lodging. To provide a location they would like to use for weddings and special occasions and not have the high cost of a venue. Or to just have a special place to get away.

All the while, building a legacy and hopefully rebuilding family ties for my children and grandchildren’s generations. And somewhere along the way, I would like to pay off the mortgage on the family farm in Oklahoma. And also have the ability to set my kids and grandkids up with accounts large enough to help them achieve their dreams.

So, as I build Tami’s Terrific Treasures to help me achieve my dreams all the way up to including the icing. There are a few extra plusses. First, marketers get perks that come in the form of more money, products and services, discounts and money-saving opportunities, and even trips to exciting exotic locations. Secondly, this system is built to make it easy for anyone who wants to achieve their dreams also! And I get to help them 1 on 1 to follow the System to achieve and dream! Thirdly, everyone helping me is also here to help anyone who wants to join us as partners. You don’t have to do it alone and neither do I.

So, look around at Tami’s Terrific Treasures and ask yourself:

  1. What are your dreams?
  2. Are you ready for a change?
  3. Don’t you and your family deserve more from life than just “working for the man”?
  4. Can you get out of your own way and be open-minded and teachable?
  5. Would you like to leave a legacy for your children and more?
  6. Do you want to be a part of something bigger than yourself?
