In Part 3 of our Linktree Training Series, we will learn how to use social media posts and online classified ads to drive targeted clicks to your Linktree Traffic System and turn them into conversions at your website. I remember when I thought traffic was supposed to feel more mysterious than it really is. I kept looking at my Linktree like it was the problem, when the real issue was happening way before the click ever showed up.
That is what makes this part of the training so important.
The video below walks through the differences between warm traffic and cold traffic. As well as, why the way you speak before someone clicks matters just as much as what they find after they click.

The Silent Linktree Traffic System Problem No One Talks About
There is a strange kind of frustration that happens when your Linktree is built, cleaned up and ready to go but the clicks still feel quiet.
That silence can make you second-guess everything.
You start wondering if the layout is wrong, if the buttons are wrong, or if you should rebuild the whole thing from scratch. But most of the time, the problem is not the Linktree itself. The problem is the traffic leading into it.
If the audience is confused, your Linktree traffic system will feel confused too.
That is why this part of the series matters so much. It is not just about collecting clicks. It is about understanding who is clicking. Why they are clicking. And what kind of message brought them there in the first place.
Warm Hugs vs. Cold Handshakes: Knowing Your Audience
Some people already know you a little. They have seen your posts, reacted to your stories, and watched your journey long enough to feel familiar with your voice.
That Is Warm Traffic
With warm traffic, you do not need to force a sale. You need to continue the conversation.
That is where stories work beautifully. People who already know you want to hear what is new. What is changing? What you learned? And, what you are building next.
Cold Traffic Is Different
Cold traffic is the stranger who sees your content for the first time and has no reason to trust you yet. They are not leaning in because they know you. They are pausing only if your message gives them a reason to care right away.
That is why the two audiences need two different approaches.
Warm traffic wants connection first.
Cold traffic wants clarity first.
The Message Mismatch That Quietly Kills Clicks
A lot of online businesses get stuck because they talk to everyone the same way. They use soft, story-driven language on strangers who need a quick reason to stop scrolling. Then they use hard sales-heavy language on people who already know them and just want a real human moment.
This mismatch is where clicks start disappearing.
A social media post should not feel like a billboard.
And online classified ads should not feel like a diary entry.
The message has to match the moment.
When it does, the traffic starts to make sense.
What Social Media Posts Need to Sound Like
Social media posts work best when they feel like a real conversation. That does not mean they have to be casual in a sloppy way. It means it should feel human.
Side Note: The more we make the social media posts and online classified ads in an “Evergreen” style the better we will be in the long run. I will explain why below.
Here is what does not work well on social media posts.
“Check out my new Linktree. All my links are in one place.”
These kind of social media posts are technically clear, but they are emotionally flat. They tell people what you made, but not why they should care.
Now compare that with this kind of message.
“I still remember the first time I hit publish on a page I had spent way too long overthinking. My hands were shaking, and I almost talked myself out of it. That is why I built this site differently. I wanted something that felt simple enough to use, but strong enough to grow with real life.”
These kind of social media posts work because it starts with a story, brings in a feeling, and leads the reader somewhere naturally.
That is the real job of social media posts. Not to shout, but to connect.
What Online Classified Ads Need to Sound Like
Online classified ads work from a completely different angle.
People who find you through online classified ads usually do not know your story yet. They are not sitting down for a conversation. They are scrolling, scanning, and deciding in seconds whether the message is worth a click.
That means the online classified ads need to get to the point fast, but still feel relevant.
Here is what does not work well as online classified ads:
“Amazing Linktree system! Learn how to organize your links! Click here!”
That sounds like a placeholder, not a message. It does not speak to a problem, a desire, or a reason to act.
This is a better version for online classified ads:
“Tired of sending people to a mess of links with no clear path? A simple structure can turn scattered clicks into to organized traffic that actually goes somewhere. Discover the system that helps people move from curiosity to action.”
That version of online classified ads work better because it starts with the problem not the product.
Evergreen advertising lasts longer when it solves something timeless.
- Confusion.
- Scattered traffic.
- Weak clicks. Lack of direction.
These problems do not go out of style.
The Difference Between Bad and Good Evergreen Advertising
Evergreen advertising matters more than most people realize.
Bad evergreen advertising usually tries too hard to sell the tool before it proves the problem.
It sounds like:
“Best Linktree training ever. Learn everything you need in one place. Buy now.”
That kind of copy is all promise, no path. It does not give the reader a reason to trust the next step.
Good evergreen advertising does the opposite. It starts with a real pain point and leads the reader forward one step at a time.
It sounds more like:
“Most people do not lose traffic because their content is weak. They lose traffic because the message does not match the audience. If you want a cleaner way to guide people from post to click to action, this system gives you the structure.”
That version lasts because it is not tied to a trend. It is tied to a problem people will keep having.
That is what makes advertising evergreen.
The 4-Week Traffic Transformation Plan
Once you understand the difference between warm traffic and cold traffic, the next step is not to get more complicated. It is to get more intentional.
In the first week, I would look back at your last handful of social media posts as well as online classified ads and ask yourself. Were you talking to people who already know you or people who were meeting you for the first time. That one review can reveal a lot.
In the second week, focus on creating content that matches the audience. Social media posts can carry story, personality, and connection. Online classified ads can carry problem-solving, clarity, and curiosity.
By the third week, stop guessing and start watching the clicks. Click-through rate tells you more than likes ever will.
Then in the fourth week, start connecting the pieces. Look at which messages bring the right people into your Linktree and which ones fall flat. The goal is not perfection. The goal is a better flow.
Why This Feels Better When It Is Working
When this starts lining up, the whole thing feels less random.
Your social media posts begins feeling like conversation. Your online classified ads start feeling like direction. Your Linktree stops sitting there like a quiet little box of buttons and starts acting like a real bridge.
That is when you know the system is working.
Not when everything is loud.
But when everything starts making sense.
Your Next Step Is Smaller Than You Think
Do not rush to post more just because you want motion.
Look at the last thing you shared and ask a simple question:
“Was I talking to a friend, or was I pitching a stranger?”
That answer will tell you which path you should use next.
