The story of why I won’t make a Casino Trip again without this fun scarf that has a pocket! Tell you why this solution is the best traveling buddy you will ever find! We are by no means big-time gamblers but enjoy the time we spend together. And hey, if one of us can leave with a little extra cash it is a bonus!
Glad to have you back and welcome to my second installment! Hope you found the last installment an entertaining read. So, let’s grab another glass of True Fine Wine (the Moscato is incredible check it out here). Go out in the backyard under the big shade tree and kick off your shoes. Do some grounding while you read. This is the second-best way to get back in Tuun! See the best here! (EMF Danger is Real!)
Touch of Family History
My mom will probably give me a little bit of grief about this article! But it’s my story and I am sticking to it! Love You Mom! My parents, younger sister, and I use to all live within thirty minutes of each other. Before life took my sister and me out of Oklahoma. The three of us would slip off to the casinos about once every few months for a girl’s night out, away from the kids. I have two girls who are two years and seven days apart. My sister’s son is two years and twenty-four days younger than my youngest.
We would coordinate sleepovers (when they were all off the bottle) with baby daddies, grandparents, or aunts. Even sweet talk my dear ol’ dad to watch his grandkids. (He is amazing!) Now, that my girls are parents they have taken our places. And do the occasional girl’s night out with their grandmother. And my dad is now a great-grandpa in every sense of the title.
The Slip-Away Struggles
Now, if you have little ones I’m positive this will make you smile! So, we feed all the children their dinner. Praying we can pull off a clean getaway. Which is always more difficult than we think it will be. After spending the day hanging out around the house, you know it. We have to put at least a little bit of a face on. Brush our hair and even might have to go as far as changing clothes. So, we park the kids in the back bedroom with a favorite movie and rush through these preparations. However; it never seems to fail, at least one of the kids wants to hang out with their mother or in the living room with grandpa.
We continue to struggle to corral all the kids in the back of the house so we can slip away. We are finally ready for the final slip and we ask each other. Do you have your identification, social security card, bank card, cash, and phone? Because we know we have one shot at giving the kids the slip. If for any reason one of us has to return to the inside of the house the trip is off. We also don’t want to have to lug purses around the casino all night. And we aren’t comfortable locking it in the trunk of the car.
Ready! Set! Go!
Down the hall. Past Daddy’s chair with a quick peck on the cheek and a thank you from each of us. Through the dining room, laundry room, and out the backdoor into the garage. Deep breath but don’t slow down just yet! Quickly into the car, but close the doors quietly! Now, hurry start the car, back out of the garage, and drive out of the driveway! All the while, praying and watching mirrors, and that the phone doesn’t ring. Because, if a child comes running out of the house, the trip is off. Or if Daddy calls before we reach the stop sign a mile from the house. The trip is off.
We have reached the stop sign and the highway to freedom! Woo Hoo!! Deep breath, turn right, and put the pedal to the medal! We are off on an adventure with girls. As we travel because we grew up three hours from anywhere in Northwest Oklahoma. We have at least an hour to do the girl talk about life. Talk about the weather and how cool or cold it will be in the casino.
Amazing Fun Scarf with a Pocket! Right?
When we arrive at the chosen casino of the night. We ask the questions and proceed to pat pockets. Do you have your identification, social security card, bank card, cash, and phone? First stop, the ladies’ room. Don’t get in a hurry! No one has time for your phone to take a dive to visit with the Ty-D-Bol Man. Double-check to make sure none of our cards or cash has fallen out of our pockets. And nothing hides on the floor next to the bottom of the toilet! (We as a group have had both happen at one time or another.) Of course, we have a tendency to leave our phones or club cards laying around the last machine also.
So, as I sit and ponder all of our casino adventures one thing has become clear. How many phones or even bank cards, identifications, or cash would not have gone swimming with the Ty-D-Bol Man? How much time would have been saved? Instead of wandering around trying to remember where the last machines we were at. Because someone left their club card in the machine. Or their cell phone laying next to it. I also think of how lucky we have been that none of us have had to experience theft. The skill of a pickpocket and lose more than what we have to the machines.
Where was this Fun Scarf with a Pocket back in those days? How handy it would have been to assist us in our escape from the house. Bathroom stops, and just plain straight-up brain farts when we walked off from a machine without something. What about trying to slide a bill from your pocket without flashing around how much cash you are carrying? Then realize you have just dropped three or four other bills on the floor. A Functional Scarf with a Pocket can hold everything you need for a casino trip!
I am now on a mission to get all the girls in my family a Fun Scarf with a Pocket! They have multiple materials, designs, and patterns. I am positive I will find at least one that everyone loves. And you can go find one you will fall in love with too. This closes our Casino Trip with Fun Scarf!
